Jair Bolsonaro has been arrested after authorities found he posed a definite escape threat while under domestic detention.

The ex-president was found guilty of planning a armed takeover in last fall and given more than 27 years in prison, but he continued under home detention pending legal challenges.

They also petitioned that Bolsonaro be permitted to leave his home for medical care, saying he demanded ongoing care for lung conditions and other illnesses.

Details of Guilty Verdict

He was determined responsible of heading a plot aimed at keeping him in power after he lost the 2022 election to his political opponent, Lula.
